About us My name is Lynda McFadden, and I am the founder and owner of our new little family business, Azure Décor.
Since 2019, our small business has been proudly operating in the Brisbane area of Queensland, Australia.
We provide nationwide service, offering unique finishing touches to enhance your home.
Our service entails assistance from start to finish in accommodating your style of indoor or outdoor design.

Our Range
Our range of materials includes products made from wood, stone, shell, metal and much more. Before my new adventure, I previously worked in the Beauty Industry for 30 years. I have since found my new passion in home décor and furniture styling. This has been an exciting experience for me, getting out of my comfort zone and learning a new creative flare within homewares decor and styling.
How I evolved and where it all began
After my beauty industry experience, I realised it was time for a change.
-
Questions like "How do I even do this?" and "Where do I begin?" constantly ran through my mind.
-
I found inspiration through a business my father collaborates with. He transports containers for a friend who runs an importing, homewares, and décor company.
-
This friend has been both a mentor and advisor, guiding me along the way.
Inspirational:
The inspirational and kind gentleman that he is was happy to show me behind the scenes of this industry. He has been an amazing help and mentor to me, and to this day, we continue to be great friends. It has been amazing to receive constant support from my dad and his friend. He agreed to escort both me and my dad to Bali and to show us the ropes and the ins and outs of the complete journey and importing business.
Off we went to Bali, Indonesia During my first trip, I discovered how to source these unique products this was truly unforgettable as well as inspirational.

Travelling:
I travelled with my dad, who is 76 years of age, and we hired two motorcycles, my dad on one and I doubled on the back with his friend who showed us the local routes, rules culture and business etiquette.
Daily Motorbike Travels
We rode motorbikes for nearly eight hours each day, exploring new areas and sourcing products.
Hotel Evenings
Back at the hotel, I spent evenings processing invoices—a task made manageable thanks to Google Translate.
Enduring the Heat and Scenery
We worked tirelessly each day, navigating through Bali's breathtaking scenery while enduring the heat. The effort was exhausting but incredibly rewarding.
Experiencing Balinese Culture
After long, hot days, immersing ourselves in the vibrant Balinese culture made it all worthwhile. We delighted in the astounding food and drinks that Bali had to offer, making every moment unforgettable.
Meaningful Purchases and Connections
It was an unforgettable and deeply spiritual journey, made even more special by sharing it with my dad. Together, we laughed, cried, and weathered heavy rain, creating memories that will stay with me forever. I feel so fortunate to have experienced this adventure with him by my side.
Thank you, Dad, for being part of this incredible first trip!"
My company evolved throughout these experiences of travelling to Bali. I was immediately inspired by the local talent and villages, which is where I found unique home and garden pieces. I instantly felt the urge and passion to make this into my new hobby as well as a career path. It has been such a unique learning experience for me, both challenging and exciting and out of my comfort zone. But it has been so very rewarding as I see how these magnificent and individual pieces have made my customers feel special as they display these products in their homes and gardens.
I aim to grow my business organically through social media platforms, Gumtree, eBay and Marketplace where passionate customers can come and browse as I continue to heighten my market interest. I look forward to customers visiting my website – www.azuredecor.com.au
Business Name - Azure Décor
My family are from the European Country/Island of Malta. It is here where a beautiful icon in Malta called the Azure Window once lay. This window developed through sea erosion off a cliff face and is located off the shores of Gozo in Malta.
This iconic natural arch formed my nature (which only recently collapsed), resonated with me and reminded me of the beauty and calming aspects of nature. It also connected my culture and background spirituality as I wanted to venture into this new world of homewares and décor.
An amazing act of nature in 2009. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azure_Window
